Mary Ann Carbone

Mary Ann Carbone has dedicated decades of service to her community in Sand City and the Monterey Peninsula, championing transportation, environmental and civic initiatives. As Mayor of Sand City and Chair of the Monterey-Salinas Transit Board, she has advanced regional mobility, supported underserved populations, and mobilized public resources to benefit residents across Monterey County.

Her leadership, sustained commitment to public service, and active community engagement have earned Mary Ann Carbone the 2024 Monterey Bay Stars Award for Volunteer of the Year.
